Get the Metric 18x1.5 thread chaser at auto zone if o2 bung stripped

Hey guys this might help someone save some time. I just replaced original ford o2 sensors on a 200k 3.0 and the driver side up stream had completely seized. I thought i was turning it little by little but it came out with threads all boogered up. 13 dollar trip to auto zone netted me a M18x1.5 thread chaser. It is a socket and can also be turned with a combination wrench. Worked like a charm. I tried starting it finger tight and then tighten with combo wrench but wasnt able to get it to bite. Luckily it has the square hole for a 3/8 ratchet as well. Switching to the ratchet enabled me to apply pressure while turning it. Cleaned up the threads beautifully and the new one went right in. Also if your o2 sensors are tucked away with no clearance for the standard o2 removal socket, try using extended length combination wrenches. Thats how i got out the passenger side upstream sensor which is about impossible to reach with a ratchet on my 1997 3.0 ext cab. Also installed a jet underdrive crank pulley and gates k08464 belt while i was at it. Drive shaft is getting a new carrier bearing and then its time for the much anticipated tesy drive. Hopefully the CEL finally goes off, it runs smooth, has more power, and doesnt vibrate like hell at 60+ mph!!
