WTB Steering wheel Still looking
 

I am looking for a steering wheel (black) for my Sons 2011 Ranger, it has the cruise control buttons on the wheel and is tilt, column shift. This original one is not leather covered and has gotten soft and squishy. I tried all the salvage yards in the Springfield Mo area with no luck. Not sure if other years will fit or not or if something like the Explorer/Sport Trac will fit.

The 2007 - 2011 steering wheels are unique.

I may have one in my nearby yard, if so I can pull it for you next time I go in (pretty busy and it won't stop raining) but it'll be about $35 total to pull and ship for you if the truck is still there.

Still looking for a steering wheel for a 2011 Ranger with tilt wheel and cruise control on the steering wheel. The rubber on this one is getting squishy and rolling on the metal bar inside. I believe 2007 to 2011 will interchange.

Im pretty sure I have a leather wrap steering wheel out of an 09. I will check when I get home and let you know.

Three and a half years later STILLLLLLLL looking for a wheel??

As of right meow, PLENTY of the leather wrap wheels for a 2011 Ranger are still available from your local Ford Parts counter out of the National/Detroit warehouse. Part # 8L5Z3600AA. W/ cruise but no leather has been superseded to that same leather wrapped number above. Yeah...they're quite the penny for 'em but at least they're still available. I regret not pulling trigger on a brand new wheel from Ford waaaaaay back when they were still available for about $380. Now I'm paying just that for a re-wrap job from professionals and the wheel used in good shape is damn near impossible to find.

Either for Ford and pay up or wait it out even longer and still pay up and have a professional like the folks over at Craft Customs like I am now forced to do...

Or try your luck on car-part.com, an online database of junkyards and their inventories by regions. Can be a crap shoot.

I started looking when we bought the Ranger for our Son and he bought one of those covers (too bulky for me) and I forgot about it. Well he got married about a year and half ago so when they got pregnant (due in Aug) we gave him our Rav4 (better for the baby) and took the truck. Hence the reason to start looking again.
Since they stopped making the leather wrapped wheels I will have to keep an eye out on the salvage sites. Thanks for the info.

I literally said exactly the opposite.

There are still plenty of brand new from Ford Parts leather wrap 04-11 wheels still available. Pricey, but available.

At least an OEM Ford steering wheel won't have a Takata death bag in it.
