I thought I was the Man.

I replaced the airbags and module in my '03 ranger but the light still blinks. One flash, a pause and then nine flashes. Does anyone know what it is or how to fix it? At this point I just want the light out.

mine did the same thing, disconnect the wire harness under each seat, spray wd40 in it and reconnect it. cured my problem

you are talking about a code 26 or 27. Or something close to that.

OP, I found this on another forum. Maybe it will help.

Code 19 means the crash sensor is full and needs to be replaced. On a ranger it is under the front console (on the floor) below the radio. It's about a $200 part & will reset itself once you replace it. (Please disconnect the battery if you are going to work on airbag systems)

I dont think the airbag module is his problem. I have to agree with Clinton on it being the sensor under the seat.

Here is the airbag module. I posted this yesterday

I don't know for a fact, but if the code is flashing a 19, it would be hard to argue it. cleaning the connections under the seats would be an easy thing to do.

tony, where did you get the module? possible it was in an accident before?
