Where's the 2.8 tech?

Kind of missing a whole engine here.

The 2.8 is basically the same as the 2.9

The 2.8 has a gear driven cam and the 2.9 is chain driven, and the heads are different.

Also one is fuel injected and the other a feedback carburated monstrosity. I'm surprised a Ranger forum pretends a entire motor doesn't exist because of a similar block.

This forum has sections for the 2.8.

We don't "pretend" it doesn't exist, there's just not many active users who have them because it's a 30 year old vehicle. Kind of like the 2.0 and the 4 Banger diesels, nobody has them. Most of the forum is 95-ish to 2011 Ranger tech.

I'm sure whatever questions you have or help you need can be answered, there's plenty of geniuses on here who know about the 2.8

Nobody is excluding you!

Yeah totally different block, crankshaft, heads, and fuel system.

The last post of someone with a question dealing with the 2.8 was at least a year ago I think. This is a ranger forum dying a slow death like the ranger did.
