It must be MAGIC! 1999 3.0
I cannot for the life of me figure out how the dome light and key warning know when the door is open. During my lunch hour I like to kick back with to door open. But if I want to listen to the radio I have to close the door. ( Maybe if I sit on the passenger side? ) Anyway, any other rig I owned all I would have to do is press a switch in somewhere in the door frame and the buzzing and bells would stop. But I can't seem to locate a switch on the Ranger. I know this is petty But I'm really curious how it works in the Ranger.
Dang. PS Pics are big help! |
Re: It must be MAGIC! 1999 3.0
pull off your drivers side door panel.. reach back my the latch and you'll feel a plug. unplug it... that'll stop your chiming. but, it'll also stop your dome light from coming on at night.

take a screwdriver and "close the door" by pushing the latch in, just remember to open the latch before closeing the the door
