Clutch pedal bushing??!! Help

Hey,
I was under the dash doing the zip-tie mod on the accelerator pedal, and noticed the clutch/brake pedal assembly had some slop in it. I got to looking at the rod that the pedals pivot on, and it looks like on the clutch part, there is a bunch of slop. Looks like there should be some sort of teflon bushing or something in there to take out the slack.
Anyone have any knowledge of this??

Thanks!

What I am saying is, the rod that runs from left to right that your pedals rock on, has slop between the pedal and the rod. There is a gap I can slip the tip of a zip-tie in. It looks like there should be a bushing that the part of the pedal should ride on, between the clutch pedal assembly and the rod that runs left to right. Not an adjustment, just slop caused by a missing bushing.
I think I might try and find a brake/clutch pedal assembly, and replace it.

Here, check this out. Looks like I need the new bracket. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/90...l-bracket.html

that metal rod that attaches to the clutch pedal comes with the master cylinder

Thing is, it isn't the rod that is the problem, it is the bracket itsself that wears away causing the slop. If you click on the link I posted, you will see how the round hole is now oblong. I don't think mine is quite as bad as this one, but I'm not sure. I do know that since I have been messing with that specific area, I have noticed some improvement in shifting, if only temporary, since I've basically inserted the pointed end of a zip-tie in the gap. I basically wanted to take out as much slack as I could to see what would happen, and it did improve the shifting while that piece was in there taking up the slack.
