Transfer case replacement issues
 

Can the transfer case (the male part that goes into into the transfer case motor) be turned by hand to line up with the new TC motor?


Can I use vice grips on a piece of rubber over the shaft end to turn it to match with the motor?

Sure, you can turn it by hand. There should be markings on the case itself to indicate what you're in (4hi, N, 4lo).
