fuel pump conectors

Just installed new Delphi fuel pump assembly after buttoning everything up I found 2 small rubber bushings that suspiciously look like belong in 2
of the lines for the pump. the bushings are rubber about 3/8 long and are different diameters. if some has run across this before point me in the right direction.

Re: fuel pump conectors

its my spare truck so i let it sit while working on some other things.
I think they may be dampers from the old fuel pump assembly.
I put fuel in her last night and no leaks or vapor issues. but if i
am wrong I will post my findings here.
thanks Mike

Re: fuel pump conectors

I've put a lot of fuel pumps in Rangers, and have never seen anything like that in any of the boxes. My guess? Something ended up in the box that it wasn't supposed to at the factory.
