95 ranger lean..

first of all hi everyone im a ranger newb! i noticed today that the cab on my truck sits over an inch lower on the driver's side. does anyone know what could cause that? maybe shocks i was thinking?

look underneath at the rear cab mount it is going to be rusty and broken, you need to replace it

camkos 06-14-2009 08:14 PM

:confused:are you talking about the mounts that are accesable from behind my seats thru the rubber bung? they seem to be in good condition, the truck has very little rust..

98blownranger 06-15-2009 05:15 AM

well yes but look at how it is on the frame, I have scene a few that have rusted rigth off the frame

there are alot of heavy things that are on the driver side. the battery, gas tank, brake booster, driver body weight, ect. my 95 sits an inch lower on the same side. you could try to get the leafspring dearched somewhat to level the rear out.

98blownranger 06-15-2009 10:13 AM

you did say the cab not the bed also right?

camkos 06-15-2009 01:12 PM

its the cab mostly. following the body line the cab is infact lower than the box on the drivers side. the box is also slightly lower on the drivers side, but most of the differance is with that cab..

98blownranger 06-15-2009 08:46 PM

look at your body mount

camkos 06-16-2009 05:21 PM

body mounts are in good condition, not rotted out at all so i dunno..

98blownranger 06-16-2009 06:01 PM

post a photo of the side of truck and the rear body mount. maybe we will see somthing you are missing.....?

i didnt get a chance to take any pictures but i did take a measurement... from the bottem of the cabto the bottem of the cab mount bracket there is a differance of about an inch. would the cab mount compress over time from the battery, driver, and gas tank all being on that side? also the front drivers spring seems to be more compressed than the passenger sides.. the kicker is that it looks newer.

98blownranger 06-18-2009 05:42 AM

no the mount will NOT compress if you have more weight on one side, the leaf and coil spring would compress. maybe the mount was replaced and put in wrong??

camkos 06-18-2009 07:57 PM

on closer inspection the mounts are rotted. my appologies. do you kno a good source for replacments?

98blownranger 06-19-2009 07:05 AM

any body parts supply should be able to get one for you, if unable to find it stop at a body shop and they should be able to help you
