Re: Ford Ranger XLT with intermittent oil pressure
are you sure it has enough oil in it? otherwise it could be a number of different things bad oil pump, clogged oil filter, plugged oil journal in the motor.
first thing would be to check the oil, and if you haven't done an oil/filter change, thats always a good idea. |
Re: Ford Ranger XLT with intermittent oil pressure
my fuel pump on my car would do the whole shutting off and then would work again thing but that was because it was clogged, i would recommend you change the oil and put a really good filter on it then change it again in a couple of weeks if that dosent work it might be a clogged oil pump which isnt fun to replace but fairly cheap
oh also do you know what kind of 2.9l you have because someof the earlier ones had oil problems but they fixed it in the 89-90 engine year supposedly so look up what date your truck was made it should be on the door |
