Did you make that or just find it? Either way, I'd just like to point out that Airbus is the only manufacturer that calls their pilots retards when they land :)

Was e-mailed to me and I saw it posted on another forum.

I didnt have the audio turned up. Why do they call them retards?

haha it sounds like the plane is telling them to "retard" their speed. That would annoy the hell out of me. It just says retard over and over.

haha. Its part of the instrument landing system and ground proximity warning system. When the radar altimeter has the plane at about 30ft above ground, it says "retard... retard... retard... retard... retard..." telling the pilot flying to retard the throttle. It will keep saying it over and over until you do. Its part of many airbus related jokes.
