Painted my Honeycomb grill
 
hey painted my grill yesterday and im happy with how it came out, here are some before and after pics:)

Looks awesome, but wouldn't it have been easier for you to remove the grille from the surround instead of the masking? Just my .02.

You can but the clips are easy to break

thanks everyone, I didn't know how much i was going to like the Black on Black when doing it but i like the way it came out

I never even thought about it and i know i would have broke some clips doing it:D

I used krylon and the first time I went to the car wash the paint started flaking off my grill. :mad:

I know some people here have used spray on bedliner on their grill instead of paint, so I'm considering trying that. What paint did you use? have you tried spraying it with the hose to wash it yet?

yes i used the Krylon Fusion Flat black , it was about $4.50 at walmart

No, i havent tried washing it yet but on the back of the can it says to allow 7 days before it is fully dried and wont chip. but after the 7 days ill wash it and let everyone know

I wish I would have painted mine black. I don't know where I got the idea to repaint it gray!
