Looking for a gas saver.......What do yall reccommend?

I know this has nothing to do with a ranger but yall have always had great advice. So hours at work have really gone down and i need a gas saver. I am looking for 4dr vehicle 2005 or newer and not really looking for a specific make or model i just want something reliable. What do yall reccomend??

I'm a big hyundai fan. I come from a ford/hyundai family. Mom had 3 hyundais not one ever had a major repair and we'll over 100k before they were traded. My wife now drives a a 2011 tucson and loves it

My recommendation would be a Toyota corolla, get great mileage and they run forever.

Ford Focus. You could probably get a 2010 for about that price.

I bought a 2005 zx3 hatchback in 2010 for $6200, it was stripped as hell. No options...none at all, no abs, no cruise, crank windows, manual tranny, ugly ass yellow, but it got 40mpg on the highway, only had 70k miles on it. Ran great.

Both my wife and my daily drivers are Foci. She's got a 2010 se sedan that we bought brand new, and my 2013 se hatch that we bought brand new. Great cars. Can't kill them.

I previously had a 2001 LX sedan that had 150k miles on it before it got totaled out when I got rear ended, ran the PISS out of that car, never gave me one problem.

The 2010 body style came out in 2008. So probably. Only thing is, the 2008s have the lame chrome inserts on the front fenders. That went away in 2009.

if you can drive a manual then look into some. they usually are cheaper on a car lot cuz they dont sell. also they usually are lower maintenance which = less $$ to spend later on

Get the gasbuddy app.
You put the city your in and it tells you what all the gas's prices are and where is the cheapest gas

i would go for an older ford focus, 2000-'05 ish... 2.0 Ztec engine and a manual trans. my neighbor's has over 300k miles and routinely gets 30+ MPG. just watch out for the base 4cyl engine, they tend to have issues.
