Manual Transmission shifting problem

Re. Mazda B3000, Manual Trans M5M1. 155,491 miles.
From a dead stop it is often difficult to shift into 1st gear.
About ten months ago I installed a loose shifter kit like this:

It worked like a charm. Everything was snug, shifting was smooth and perfect but now it is going back to a sloppy shifter and the 1st gear problem

Can someone help me with this. May adding some kind of chemical.
I am using the correct lubricant and just changed it again.
Shifting is perfect at a stand still and beyond 1st gear.

thanks

Re: Manual Transmission shifting problem

try bleeding your transmission fluid and replacing it, i had some trouble going into third and i did that and it seemed to take care of it. you might have some gunk built up in there, but idk. also as im sure you've found an easy, though temporary, cure for that is to just shift into second and then into first

Either your 1-R syncro is bad or the slave cylinder is bad. Neither is an easy fix....
