Why do some have it and others dont?
 

hey everybody, i know its not that big of deal but it strange. why do some edge rangers have the decal EDGE and others dont? i dont have one on mine and its an edge and iv have seen the same exact ranger (well same color) and it had EDGE on it.

Are you the first owner? I bet someone took the decals off.

ive also notice some have them on side of the bed and some have them down by the door.. ive seen one same as mine with it by the door and mine is located on bed..

Depending on what year and bed style you have they put them in different locations

I got mine new & it doesn't say Edge anywhere on it:)

My buddy used to have an edge. I always told him it meant the truck was only good to drive on the edge of the road, lulz.

the 2001-2003 styleside Edge's had the sticker on the lower part of the bed, just beyond the doors, the flareside had it on the same location except up near the top of the bed. the 2004-2006 styleside moved the sticker to the rear of the sides of the bed, up near the top. flareside was discontinued in 2006.

I took mine off. dark grey with black/grey interior. Big orange letters. Looked stupid. Plus,when I went to install the bed rail caps, it would cover a little bit of the lettere.

A hair dryer and 10 minutes later - letters gone.

What did you use in conjunction with the hair dryer simpkins4? Do tell, I'd like to remove the big red "sport" decals on my black truck and wouldn't mind knowing.

nothing at all. heated up with hair dryer and they peeled right off.

no residue...no headaches. Took the dealer sticker off also while I was at it.

If there is glue left over though, WD40 will take it right off.

last year for the edge's were 2005 :D
