computer tunning
 
i would like to get into my 2004 4x2 2.3l computer and completely change all aspects of the computer like the air to fuel and all of that but i also and looking into putting a turbo on with new injectors and stuff and will need to tune it i would like to know what i would need and what is the cheapest and best way of doing so without going to a dyno shop i have access to a senior master tech any help is accepted.

im going with a turbo off of a 6.0 turbo diesel and gona weld custom manifold and everything

that will not work, completely different systems. If it actually worked like that why doesn't every body just take used turbos off of diesels?

i have seen dodge turbos used and im pretty sure i can make this one work and because its alot of work and complicated but if you have access to a father whom works for ford and is a master technician then you know how to do it

This guy has no clue what he's talking about.


Op, it's a direct bolt in. You just need to upgrade your intake and exhaust gaskets. May need a bigger alternatorand battery too since the 6.0 turbos run on electricity.

ill make it work if i dont use the 6.0 ill go with a dodge turbo. i just need to know what all i need to make it all work on the computer end

just because he's a "master tech" doesn't mean he knows how to custom fab a powerstroke turbo to a damn 2.3L. Do your research cause clearly you haven't

and clearly you dont understand engines. and lets just say my father also work on circle cars and has been doing this since he was 13
i do my research before doing anything and i may be young but ik engines very well my self.

i was basicaly born under a car i remenber doing a whole rearend swap with my father when i was only 2 on his 72 z28.

let's also just say you didn't, do you even realize how much boost a stock 6.0 turbo makes? I don't even think it's possible to make that little engine withstand it even if every thing was forged and at that you'd be in the build so deep you could have just bought a powerstroke
