Broken Head bolt

Hey well my problem was I think I over torque a new bolt as I was re installing the head and it broke. So I pulled head back off. And head bolt that broke didn't break flush. So it down in the cylinder about half inch. But not broken flush so I can't seem drill or tap without my bit sliding.

Wondering if anyone has any tips.

easy out. Buy all new bolts because they are torque to yield

Is easy out different than screw extractor set?

The screw extractor kit says to drill a pilot hole.

Use a center punch..the drill won't walk then

Hit it hard too. Don't always use the big drill bit first. Start small and work your way up.

Thanks for the help guys was able to get it started but it's slowly making progress. I don't think my drill bits are made for this hard metal that or I'll need to get a air drill for higher rpm

I don't think you need higher RPM you need a sharper drill bit plus a little oil to cool the drill bit so you don't take the temper / hardness out of the tip.
