Can a AMP be connected to the stock stereo?

Yes, with the use of a line output converter, and a source or switch power.

Your amp will need a power source for it to know when to be on and most of the time the ignition wire going to the Head unit (stereo) is what is tapped in to. That is the source of switch power.

i had that and it worked fine, but then i upgrade front 2 speakers to apline
