time to go from 0-60?

Hey, my ranger seems a little slow on the take off. i want sure how fast it would take a v6 3L ranger would go from 0-60. were could i find out what it should be, or do you know.

Well, I'm also in Florida ... so climatology shouldn't be a factor, but I do have a 4.0L V6 instead of the 3.0L.

Right now, my Ranger is going 0 mph, out in the parking lot. I'll be getting off work at around 6:00, and I can take it up to 60 on the way home, so figure a ballpark estimate of "under 2 hours and 10 minutes"

;)

Takes my 3.0 15 or so seconds to 0-60 with normal 2500RPM acceleration on a flat terrain. If Im going downhill and red line it, I might be able to make 6 seconds, lol.

I think mine is 8.9 seconds on flat ground with OD off. they call it a 3.slo for a good reason.

im not bs.in any one my 2.3 duratec 5 speed did 8 sec not joke the 3L is a very weak motor if it was a 24 valve then there would be power but the extra toque is't worth the crapy gas milage to me but thats my opnion.:stupido2:

my 2.5 5 speed probably takes 12 seconds. If I want speed, Ill hop in the car which does it in just over 6 seconds.

Speed shifting at Redline, and that is right on the redline, about 12 to 15 seconds, NO LOW END TORQUE EVEN WITH 4:10 GEARS!!

I believe the "official" number for a 3.0 5-spd is 8 seconds.

Re: time to go from 0-60?

yeah the 3.0 makes ok low end toque but with a auto it BLOWS my 2.3 would smoke a 3l auto and maybe a 3l exended cab with 4x4 with a 5 speed. my truck is probaly 600 lbs lighter

Re: time to go from 0-60?

I got a little single cab with a short bed, if i had a manual I'd be well in the low 8 second mark for sure. It seems to be making the most power in the mid rpm range..
