Remote Starter Failure

My 2007 Ford Ranger XL Super cab has this problem. The factory installed did work however now the remote starter seems to initiate the first few step to remote start but fails to turn over the engine.
the sequences that I see/hear are:
1. horn sounds
2. doors lock
3. interior dome light comes on
4. if the radio was left on then it comes on,
5. then nothing (the engine doesn't turn over, I don't hear any additional sounds)
6. Keyless entry works, I can enter the truck
7. Using the key I can start the truck, no problems, note that there is power on before I use the key.
I can't find any info on where took for fuses or relay for the remote starter system. the dealer wants an initial $125 to hook to their electronic analyzer however before I give away my hard earned $$s, any suggestions where to look?

Regards, Sandy

Re: Remote Starter Failure

Just a shot in the dark but...

Try holding the ignition key against the outside of the steering column & then try to remote start the vehicle while still holding that key against it.

Wondering if it's a PATS key sense issue...

Check the remote start relays.
