seeing them at night is no issue, but what about during the day, or during low visability conditions like fog or rain?

DING DING DING!!!! I agree 200%. Not to mention niteshaded amber glows RED.

Niteshades are ghey as hell and simply unsafe and every time I'm following a set, I wanna push the go-go-gadget-BFH button.

This guy'll be the next one to get a ticket for them and post a thread bitching about getting a ticket and calling the cop an ******* for doing his job.

I agree and dissagree. Niteshade is okay as long as it's done in light amounts. I didn't do mine that dark. Just wanted to tone them down a tad.

Mike...you're right. But take a look at the number of those who lightly shade, like yours, versus the amount that totally black them out. I'm willing to bet it's 5 blackouts to your 1 light shade. I'm speaking of the majority of shaded folks, in and outside of the ranger rhelm. Your's is good to go to me. BUT...i'm still a niteshade hater. lol.

I am a fan of just the OEM 06+. I like the light nite shading above, but would rather just leave them be this go around.

He just said you can see his brake lights the same during the day that you can at night. That's simply untrue for obvious reasons and it's a totally retarded statement again for the same obvious reasons. I've been behind people with LIGHTER shaded tails and I can't hardly see them when the brake lights are hit during the day.

BTW...I've seen his other threads and pics. Those are what I'm basing my opinion on in regards to his tails. They're straight up black...no hint of any red or amber in those. How is a 20w incandescent light supposed to shine through 5% visibilty coat of paint ontop of a translucent material, making it almost opaque?

and newsflash for the people who hate me for hating on tinted lights and and for posting in this thread....I ran 'em for a while til I found myself behind someone one afternoon that I almost plowed right into when they slammed on their brakes. guess what they had.....shaded tails. Darker than mine. and mine were too dark for me IMO in the first place. Mine are NOTHING compared to the big majority of niteshaders, definately including the OP.

It's pretty much the same as having extremely dark (mirrors or limo) tinted windows. During night time, you turn on the dome light and voila, you can see thru easely.

But it shouldn't really matter day or night, unless you use straight up paint (or abuse multiple coats of ns), you should be able see the brake lights during the day too.

imho
