Shop Request - 06+ Tails :)

It's been repeated time and time and time and time and time again.......'06 tails will fit no problem. It's not like you're the first one attempting it on their 01-05 truck...

He didn't even ask if they would fit... At least not from what I have read in this thread. He simply asked for someone to Photoshop a picture of 06 tails on his truck.

While true...why would one need to see what they look like? I can count probably at least half dozen white 01-05 trucks with them. I'm not including the numerous Oxford White 06+ trucks there are. Not to mention the dozens of non-white 01-05 with them including myself.

Google yielded a few FRF member threads with them...

The LED tails that were on the truck were close to $190 (set) and the adjuster wrote it up as replacing it with factory taillights. I was in no way at fault for this douche hitting me at 70+ mph and I was NOT going to put a like $25 (set) of factory lenses on my vehicle because his ins company are cheap-asses.

i think what michael is trying to explain is... here let me dumb it down for you.... when you go, and make the insurance company replace somethiung that is NON factory it raises the insurance rates... insurance is only allowed to replace with OEM parts... i learned this lesson the hard way about 10 years ago when my accord got stripped in the parking lot... they took my brand new kenwood deck, my amp, my subs, my brand new red/clear tail lights, and my factory spoiler... needless to say they only thing my insurance payed for was to replace the tail lights, and to put a factory stereo back in it, and my insurance went thru the friggin roof

I am pleased that this post made your day. However I now question what you personally find entertaining. I can see how a FEW of you are possibly annoyed by me asking a question that I could have apparently very easily "Google'd" images of or whatnot. As far as the Insurance rate complaint goes, again I suggest you call the ethics police and make an official complaint because I am positive my ONE claim alone did not raise your rates to where you could not provide for yourself or family, so you can probably take that comment to land of giving fucks, where I am sure they are plentiful.
An FRF Member shopped the pic for me and I am thankful to that member. Can I go back to the other threads and complain to those members that, at that time, there were possibly close to the same number of threads, pics, blah blah blah in existence??
Actually, I don't need to because I know I can but I choose not to give the appearance of being a dick. If this thread caused such an inconvenience to you (in general) then why are you posting on it? I can see how Ins. companies are only allowed to report fixes to return to stock but then explain the other parts in which his company (Geico) chose to "cut corners on" , example: Part(s) not seen by the naked eye. Of course in accordance to the Maint. Shop I took my Ranger to.
I will in closing reinstate this though in hopes of grasping a better understanding: If this thread caused such an inconvenience then why are you posting on it?

Great moral debate, I think don't think it truly is insurance fraud, if he was unable to get the factory lights, getting the more expensive aftermarket lights- then selling them to obtain factory lights seems fair to me, not sure the reason why you couldn't get factory lights.

Also, any accident causes depreciation of value, which the insurance is suppose to compensate you for (but not fully-or else our rates would be even higher), just think of the more expensive lights as a part of compensation.

Oh and who cares really? Insurance companies are horrible to deal with, after an accident, you always end up at a loss somehow. No reason to argue really, there ARE people who commit REAL insurance fraud who cash in thousands.

I'm glad you're okay, getting hit from the rear like that, could've send you spinning out. I love the older steel bumpers, they sure can take a hit, wish mine was steel.

I mean we all know that because your Insurance refused to return your vehicle to "before accident conditions" that me asking for taillights equivalent to the ones on my truck previously, caused your problems 10 years ago.

You assume that because all I have listed in my signature that that is all done to my truck? or by only looking at the avatar?

I have pics of some of the few "mods" done to the Ranger since I picked it up in GA in Feb. 2011.

But let me, when time permits, list every single mod I've done to the truck since acquiring it almost 3 years ago so I can please the Inquiring minds..
