I work in a machine shop making parts for the aerospace industry as well as custom microwave coaxial cable connectors, which means I can't take too many photos because of ITAR and whatnot but I got a few:

My brother and I are 501st Legion; I'm the Scout and he's the Stormtrooper

We also made 3 proton packs using the shop equipment (This is how I learned to run the manual mill and lathe and what got me interested in machining)

Skull Ovals I made recently

Afford...no job? SOMEBODY is paying. Speaking only for myself, since I haven't found a rich woman to marry, I've worked my ass off for everything I have.

Couldn't be around for my first son much in the beginning...so after my second was born I got off the road to raise and be with him. Best decision I ever made. Wouldn't change it for anything

I work for a company that builds automated packaging and production equipment.
Basically we take products and put it into cases or pouches.
We do alot of cereal machines, poptart and waffle machines, cheese and butter machines, pizza and frozen dinner machines, beef jerky, baby food, garnola bars, air fresheners, paint, soaps, eggs, etc.
We also do alot of microwave popcorn machines where we put the popcorn into the bags with butter and oil and stuff and seal and package it up.
As well as fuel, oil, and air filter machines that build the filters then package them for all the big filter companies.

We also do robotic and mechanical palletizing systems and drum filling systems.
Basically we put alot of unskilled people out of work with our automated machines...but we create jobs too. For designers and drafters, engineers, programmers, even machinists and mill workers.
I have full access to our large machine shop with cnc mills, lathes, and more.

Our company has expanded in the last 5 years. We added a new building, bought out other companies, exoanded internationally, we have machines all over the world, and we have went from 70 employees to about 190 now.

Wish i could share pics of all the cool machines and systems ive built..but its a big no no.

Some of our cnc machines are just like the ones in TB's pics..
