Might be better to start a separate thread for this. But there's nothing wrong with that Canon. You should get plenty of good shots with it.

lol... yeah ! Most of the Pentax stuff was handed down from my father, and it turns out I can use the lenses on my Sony/Minolta AF bodies.

First time I tried a prime (50/1.7), i was HOOKED on primes! Zooms are nice and versatile and all, but Primes are just... nice! IQ is better, and I tend to be more creative since it makes me walk around more to find a good view instead of just zooming.

started looking for deals at a small shop downtown, on craigslist and photography forums, and gradually made my kit. For a while I was getting a new piece of kit every other week, but it's been stable for a good while now.

The only thing I'd really want is a fast tele, which I can't afford, so f/4 is fast enough for now

Nice list Rusty4419
I have the Tamron 17-50/2.8
I've wanted to try the Sigma 10-20mm for wide landscapes.

^^ 10-20 is pretty sweet. Not the sharpest thing out there wide-open, but stopped down to f/8-f/11 (where I do most landscapes anyways), it's pretty sharp. It's not my primary landscape lens (I prefer 20-35mm for that), but it is practical for tight interiors, as well as making dramatic foreground effect

Few examples

Very nice shots!
The first two shots I can cover with my Nikon 16-85 but the shot of the dog was shot at 12mm which looks pretty sharp @ f/8.

Every once in a while I wished I had some just a little wider.

FYI, Sigma also makes a 8-16mm, which you might find a bit more suitable, with no FL overlap

No problem I guess I should share all my equipment since everyone else is. First though, do realize the most expensive lens I own is the $380 sigma macro, and I shoot prime lenses pretty much exclusively, and finally I shoot film lenses because pentax is fully backward compatible.

Bodies:
Pentax K-7
Pentax K200d
Pentax ME (film)
Pentax ME Super (film)
Pentax K1000 (film)
Minolta maxxum 7000 (my baby, also film)

Lenses:
Minolta maxxum 70-210 "beercan"
Minolta maxxum 50mm F/1.7
Minolta maxxum 28-85mm
----------------------------------
Pentax F 28mm F/2.8
Pentax M 28mm F/3.5
Pentax M 50mm F/1.7
Pentax K 50mm F/1.2
El-Nikkor 50mm F/2.8N
Pentax takumar 55mm F/1.8
Pentax M 85mm F/2
Sigma 105mm F/2.8 macro
Pentax F 135mm F/2.8
Takumar 300mm F/4 (18 aperture blades!)
Pentax DA 55-300mm

Flash wise I own a pentax AF360 FGZ and a Metz 48AF-1.

hahahah yeah I absolutely adore my minolta setup. The maxxum 7000 is the first (and currently only) film camera i've ever shot
(link to the images: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tanneryates/sets/72157625684007585/with/5350872997/ ).

If I wasn't so busy I'd buy some B&W film and plop that 50mm F/1.2 on the Pentax K1000, going nuts with the insanely shallow DOF

BUT for now, im completely devoted to macro photography. Just bought myself a bellows set

The Minolta Maxxum is a nice camera indeed. You have the first auto focus camera from Minolta which was released in 1983. I went with the Minolta X700 purchased from K-Mart. Lol! K-Mart used to have a nicely stocked camera department back in the day. I couldn't afford the Maxxum at the time.

You will love the bellows. I had a set on my old Mamiya 645 for macro work.

I've had a variety of camera's over the years and always wanted to try a 4x5 view camera.

ha yeah the auto-focus is quite primitive and loud, but still fun to use
I have two more minolta film cameras, but they are not "A" mount so the lenses I own for them are dismal at best which is why I didn't mention them.

Yeah the bellows will solve my current lighting quandary for deep stacking (combining multiple images for greater DOF in macro). Im siked

I've actually got a medium format kodak tourist, but right now along with a couple other relics its just looking good on a shelf in my room

Oh here's a picture of some of my stuff
