Default MASSIVE fish

this fish is just full of MASS!!! hence the title, hehe. onward to pictures:

story: i was driving back from a bad day of fishing, didnt catch squat, when i'm headed over this bridge. on the other side is a small beach area i fish at sometimes. anywho, i see this thing that looks like a big white garbage bag in the water. i decide to check it out because littering is bad. i come up on this fish and am speechless. its about 150 lbs. estimated. 3-4 feet long. from the looks of it, its a jewfish. if thats the case, and not just a massive regular grouper, then this would mean this fish is only about 2 years old. adult jewfish reach anywhere between 600-1000 lbs! well, just wanted to show the rest of ya what a real fish is! florida is known for holding countless records and this fish is proof!

lol, they use 2 reels to fight these guys. it usually takes 2 full grown men to get one of the "teenagers" up. but no one brings them into the boat, their protected so its only catch-and-release

ya, their apex predators and its rare to find one ever wash up on the beach. usually their found like 30+ miles out at sea. i would love to fight one of these things
and for reference, my head fits in its mouth lol. its suppose to grow 6-8x that size but the cold snap killed it

this will give you an idea to the size they reach when the mature. they live over 50+ years also. they used to be really common in florida

yup, a ton. second picture from the bottom in my first post shows the teeth. they arent like sabertooth tiger teeth, or shark teeth, but their like basically a bunch of tiny tooth picks that hold the prey in their, and they like gulp the prey down.

Oh. That makes me feel much better. I'm glad they won't chew me to death. Rather, they'd just swallow me whole. I would have serious reservations swimming along side, or in front of, a fish that I can fit inside, without a mouth big enough to make it happen. What happens if it gets confused?

lol, their not the quickest fish, although they are faster than any diver could ever be, and they arent afraid of anything which does make people nervous, but to date, there have been 0 jewfish attacks on people lol. people are generally to bulky to eat anyway. and a diver is usually high in lead or aluminum content due to tank, these fish are on a strict south beach diet ya know
