The one with your daughter and grandpa (both looking at each other) would make a great picture for grandparents day present.

if your serious about getting good shots of your kid I suggest a 50mm prime lens. It will take some getting used to and adjusting but your images will be significantly better. You will be able to shoot indoors in low light much easier and get fantastic bokeh to have the subject pop. Its the next logical step, and canon's 50mm F/1.8 (plastic fantastic!) is quite cheap if you dont want to splurge on the canon 50mm F/1.4 or the like.

The second tap water picture really impressed me, the air bubbles suspended in time looks like bubbles in clear epoxy!!!

Thanks guys! Yeah once I learn the camera and how to use its settings Ill start looking into lenses and such. For now I plan on picking up an external flash from another member here to help with the indoor shots.
