Re: Some Night Photography.... (Warning... 11 Photos)
the museum of arts pic and the one below it aren't in focus, why bother post editing and uploading? hyatt sign is boring as well, especially with the pine needle things in front of part of it, and the bushes along the bottom grab attention too much.

Re: Some Night Photography.... (Warning... 11 Photos)
Very nice night time photo series! I like night photo's.
#3 Horizon is tilted to the right
#4 Soft. Needs sharpening
#5 Horizon is tilted to the left
#6 Horizon is tilted to the left
#7 Horizon is tilted to the left
I normally try to level the horizon in the camera but at night it is hard to get a level reference.
That happens to me too. I just fix in post processing.
I've visited Clear Water Beach and went swimming in the ocean years ago. Beautiful place indeed!

Re: Some Night Photography.... (Warning... 11 Photos)
I'm betting you did those free hand. When it comes to night pictures always and I mean ALWAYS use a tripod. That is usually the main mistake people make when trying to take pictures at night. Tripod will solve most of the issues in those. However on the first two I did see a lot of grain in the pictures. Try using the night mode on the camera. It should help with that. Otherwise they look good.

Re: Some Night Photography.... (Warning... 11 Photos)
Thanks for the advice guys. I didnt bring my tripod for these pics becauses I just came from a baseball game. I thought they came out okay, without the tripod. I just started trying to shoot at night. What settings work the best?

Long exposure's (shutter speed in the seconds range) with low ISO. That requires a tripod and knowledge of how to use a camera in manual mode
