Not because of safety issues????? I vaguely remember watching a movie about these cars in high school and I do remember that's why the movie said they were outlawed.

Re: Guess the vehicle!!!!
I think the big three fought real hard to kill the make as well, so dug up everything they could to put Tucker out of business.
Here's what wikipedia has to say about it:
Notice the pic of the car is different that the car posted above.

Youre right, the front grille and bumper sounds like a Plymouth; the dodge was different as well as the De Soto.
Plymouth 54, 55 then?

^ yup, '55-56 mercury ( anything to ID between the two years is missing). fairly rare car too, because it's a base 2 door sedan, with almost no options other than an auto trans and a v8.
and i wanna say the car you posted is a '37 ish packard?

nope, although from that angle and with the amount of missing parts i can see the grille looking like a plymouth, sorta.

here's another, hopefully a bit easyier.

68-69 Road Runner Looks like the shell is in decent shape, other than the roof.
Right on man, the one I posted was a '37 Packard Twelve

didin't think i'd even get the year right, haha.
and you're right, it's a 68-69 road runner, 2 door sedan. motor, trans & rear were MIA, but it had a clutch pedal. it got crushed with about 200 other old cars & trucks.
ok, here's a really rough one, see if anyone can figure this heap out
