Default Whitney's photoshoot.

Ok here are a few of the photos I took of Whitney. I need feed back. I'm getting my own studio and I want to go into business for myself. I'll take constructive criticism. Cause I want to learn from my mistakes. Give me what you got.....

One of me the photographer and model.

The whole frame idea is cool but I think it be better if it was hanging from fishing line or something as if it was floating instead of holding it, seeing her/your fingers holding it kind of distract you from the rest of the pic. Atleast it did for me

They need adjusting IMO.

I could add a lot of stuff but you won't like what I say.

So the light points towards her or does the umbrella? Cause I had the umbrella facing her.

Here you go because you asked for it!

For an indoor portrait studio:
1. Study a book on portrait studio lighting.
2. Study a book on portrait modeling.
3. Study a book on Photo Shop.

A few tips for your next shoot:
1. Obtain additional lights and umbrellas. You need at least 3 minimum but 4 would be really nice.
2. Obtain a roll of remnant background paper. You should be able to pick up a small roll around $60 or so. Background paper is expensive.
3. Never shoot armpits! Armpits aren’t attractive!
4. Obtain a signed model release from the model before posting photos on the internet. Downloadable from the internet.
5. If you shot with your umbrella as shown in photo #8 then turn the umbrellas around the other way as they are backwards. If you want to shoot through a diffusing material obtain light boxes instead of umbrellas.

Photos 1, 2 and 6 could use some adjusting in Photo Shop. The text ruins photo #9.

I’m not putting you down in any way as we all have to start somewhere and learning as you go is a great way to learn what works and what doesn’t.

I barely scratched the surface and I could add a lot more but you would do well to obtain and study the books I mentioned above.

Above all have fun!
