So my camera finally got here! No, it's not the D3000 like I would have liked to get, but with a wedding and honeymoon to pay for and countless cars to detail, I lost out on that deal. I ended up getting the Nikon D50, with the Nikon 35-80 lens. Here's some pic I took today. They were all taken with the auto settings for now. Seems to be taking pretty good pics. Lots of options with this camera so I'm going to have to take some time to learn it thoroughly to get the best benefit from it. I also just ordered a B+W polarized lens filter to help take some nice car shots....
And don't kid your self. That D50 is more camera than the D3000 in several ways. Do a google search for Nikon D50 pictures. You will see plenty of top notch pictures.
Not nocking the D3000 just saying you got a lot of camera there. You will enjoy it.
Nice pics you took there. Love the shallow DOF on a couple of them.

yeah the D50 is probably a little too much of a camera for me right now, but I will take the time to actually learn it and take some photo classes along with it. I ended up buying the body at a local camera store (it was used) for $250, and my dad has a few 35mm nikon cameras so he gave me a basic lens he had laying around. Overall it ended up being a better deal then anything I found online.
