Default photography Question

Lately my wife has been seeing her friends pics on facebook and they look like pics taken from the 70's. I just read about it somewhere and i guess some of the newer cameras have a setting that give the pic this look. Anyone know what that setting is called? I hope her camera has it or i have a feeling i will be buying her a new one soon.

Something like this? If so it is called Sepia mode. What kinda camera does she have?

You can load them up on photobucket.com and then edit them into that look.

No. Her camera does that. These pics are full color, they just look vintage. I know people are using software to get that effect but the article i was reading said some cameras had a setting for it. i will try and post an example.

Not the same in my opinion. Some of the other pictures i've seen using this effect are pretty cool. i just want to know what to look for when shopping for cameras.

Read the owners manual for the camera. I'm sure it will say it in there.

We don't have the camera. And if we did we wouldn't know what were looking for in the manual because we don't know what the setting is called. Either i was very confusing or you didn't read the thread from the beginning

After rereading it was me that was confusing, my fault, our camera is older it does not do this, i just want to know what the manufactures are calling the setting so when looking for a new camera we can make sure it has this feature.
