any FRF photographers?
So it looks like I'm in the market for a new camera, mostly for my business, as I have been told the pictures I take and post online are not the greatest representation of my work (I'm not going to post them up here because they have watermarks on them with my company logo and I'm not too sure what the rules about this are). With that said.... I'm not a big photographer, when I do my work, that's where 100% of my focus goes, the pictures are just there if I remember to take any. So I guess I more in the market for a decent point and shoot then a DSLR only because I'm not sure I want to take the time to learn how to use it properly, and they're expensive. My budget is somewhere around $400.00 for this. I have been recommended to get these cameras any thoughts?

any other suggestion? if you got one please give reason and maybe post a pic you took of it. I'll try to find some pics that are not water marked and post up what I take...

Re: any FRF photographers?
Ok here's a couple shot with my POS it's an older Fujiflim 6mp camera:
and I know lightning and car photography are pretty difficult subjects, but these pictures just don't seem to pop as much some of the ones I see on this forum. Sorry for the novel, just trying to learn

Re: any FRF photographers?
If you're looking to spend around $400, I know you said you don't really want a DSLR but I paid $450 for my Nikon D3000 and you've seen my pictures on here. It's really easy to learn how to use. If you took a day or two out of a weekend to read the manual and practice some you'll be taking some great photos.

Re: any FRF photographers?
I'm not totally against a DSLR, just from what I have been reading it takes a while to get a hold of it, but then again I think any bad pic from a DSLR will look better then mine

Re: any FRF photographers?
I pulled mine right out of the box, put it on "Auto" and was taking some decent shots. I'll get you the link to my thread that has all my "Auto" shots.

Re: any FRF photographers?
No problem. Everybody told me to read the manual when I got mine and normally I don't read manuals to anything when I get it. I like to figure it out myself but I actually sat down and read it and it's very helpful. I carry it around with me most of the time when I'm trying to take some really good shots.

Re: any FRF photographers?
That's one of the reasons I like Nikon. Cheaper price, and IMO better quality.
