Re: Storm Clouds
First chance to try it after reading some tips online. I thought I was going to have to wait til next year, but a line of storms moved through the area saturday late at night, so I figured it would be my last chance! I got to where I wanted to set up, and this huge rain comes in before the main storm, forcing me to shoot from my vehicle. oh well, probably safer that way, though the setting isnt too good for pics.
I have the camera on a tripod and on the "bulb" setting, manual focused on a light across the lake, and started taking pics toward where I was seeing some flashes, using 30 second exposures with a wireless remote. if I saw a flash of lightning, I would stop and start a new one. I got a couple of flashes, but wasn't sure it worked, I could not see the bolts with my eyes, just the flash. Soon the quick little t-shower was gone, and I checked, took about 20 pics, and the two that I took had some lightning images! whoohoo, it worked! I can't wait til next years storm season starts now!

Re: Storm Clouds
I wish I could take credit for that one. I seen this pic somewhere a few years back. Thought it was awesome & saved it.
