I'm am debating on if I want to put a 2.3 turbo or a supercharged 5.0 in my truck and I was wanting some opinions of what you guys think I should do

Yeah I am leaning more towards the 2.3 cause I would love a sleeper
and I forgot to tell the truck specs its a 87 reg cab 2wd

turbo.. not as much weight on the nose of the truck

so far it looks like I am headed for the turbo motor I was leaning that way anyway

2.3t it son! So much cheaper to work on and so much easier to build.

I'm building one right now, kind of, lol. Got lots of parts, but no time to put it all together.

You can put down a healthy 300hp a the wheels and have it a good daily driver and get good mileage. Good luck, son!

If you have money and time, why not just turbo a 5.0? Ever since riding in my buddy's fox body after he got the turbo on it, cant stop thinking about it. If you can get a heavy duty trans and upgrade the block and internals you will go 500+ easy....That will shut everyone up that says rangers arent fast. If you're looking to have ok MPG's then 2.3t....but 5.0t is just so much more fun, crazy, fast....Even if they hear the rumble of the V8 and see the intercooler...It will blow minds when you romp on it.

2.3t no doubt my truck has one out of an 88 tc direct bolt in stock ranger tranny and on 18psi daily love it.
