Default 2.3 motor add on's

I'm new to the forum but I bought a 95 ranger single cab long bed (7ft) 4x4 and rebuilt the motor and I've gotten it broken in with 30k on it and wondered would a CAI and bigger exhaust help the motor at all? I know these weren't built for power but seeing what could help. Thanks.

not a lot can be done, sorry. you could swap in a 2.5 and get quite a bit more torque...

around here, used 2.5s go for between $300 and $1000...

nice truck - rare too!

you can look up the "dual ignition mod", if it's a '95 than it should have two spark plugs per cylinder. one plug fires on the intake stroke and one plug fires on the exhaust stroke to reduce emissions. the mod shows you how to change the fireing order on the exhaust stroke plugs to fire at the same time as the intake plugs, thus netting you a few extra HP... best part is it's free to do and can be reversed should the need arise in a couple minutes.

Thanks for the info. Is that readily available on the net? I also wondered if it was an odd body configuration I haven't seen one like it yet, only in a 2wheel drive form. I also thought the possibility of a turbo but wondered if its worth it? My dad had a 2300 turbo on his sandrail and never really had issues except..... Not enough power.
