Default Technically not a Ranger but . . .

The young lady at the convience store where I stop for coffee some times has an 88 Bronco II. I start talking to her about it b/c obviously it's interchangeable with Rangers 88-92. It looks pretty beat up.

But she says it runs well except for when it rains and snows. She says she has a hard time starting it in wet conditions.

Any ideas? I told her I would throw this question out there for her.

Cracked distributor cap, maybe? If you can't see anything, you could still check by wetting it down (using a spray bottle) in dry weather and see if the problem appears. You can also try the same on other parts of the ignition system, one at a time, until you isolate the problem component.
