Default v8 rear mounted radiator

i beleive my 2000 302 has 1.5 in inlets and outlets . most radiators i find have 1.5 in inlets and 1.75in out lets . when i run the plumbing can i run 1.75 on the outlet side and then have it reduce to 1.5 just before the engine or do i have to stick with 1.5 all round?

If the outlet to the water pump is 1/4" bigger, think about how much bigger the side tank is than the outlet itself; it should work fine. However, I've read about attempts to add a rear-mount radiator and the OEM pump just wasn't up for pumping coolant through all of that plumbing.

how many gpm should my pump flow for a rear mounted radiator
