Default Cam shaft sensor

I'm not sure in I am posting this in the correct section or not, but does anyone know of a company that makes an aftermarket cam shaft sensor for a 1995 4.0 L engine?

4.0 engines don't have camshaft syncro sensors. They have timing chains.

My dad and his friend (who is a mechanic) were calling it a cam sensor, they could have been using the wrong terminology. But to clarify, it's a sensor thats on the top of the motor, in the center-back, it was giving a code, and the symptoms were hard/not starting. '95 was the last year for this model of sensor and we've searched but can't find an OEM replacement.

Camshaft syncros were on the 3.0 engines not 4.0

4.0's have timing chains. Unless you are mistaken on your engine liter.

What's the code its throwing.

Sorry, I don't know the exact code (I wasn't there when my dads friend hooked up the code reader), but it's definetly a 4.0l and the sensor goes with the cam shaft.

That's the model sensor that replaced the one that I have in late 1995/1996, and unfortunetly wont fit my engine. Thanks though.
