Thumbs down 1999 ranger

I'm going to be buying a 1999 ranger on friday and its my first ranger what i can tell from looking at it is it has a 3" body lift and 33" tires not sure if there is any supension lift to it and what I'm wondering is if there is anything I should look out for or prepare to wear out i.e ball joints etc.. .

If you havent already bought it please don't buy it. 1999 rangers are the most absolute worst year of rangers they come stock with a bs PVH hub system which will go it's a very flawed design and the only fix is an axel swap or garbage rugged ridge manual locking hubs.

The only way to fix it is to get a new axel or manual locking hubs? Are you damn stupid or just not do enough research. 1. You can take the metal T clip out of your front 2 hubs and that will give you the functionality of a 01+ Ranger live axel. 2. You can constantly put your truck in and out of 4wd and that will fix it but in order for it to always work you have to put it in 4wd atleast once a day. 3. You could get manual hubs. 4. Or you could be a rich idiot and buy a new axel.

Many different ways to go about this, but what do I know.

PVH does suck. However its a really simple fix to make them work correctly. Only reason I would refuse to buy one is if they had the POS 3.0L.

I've never had any big problems in my ranger except ones i made hitting mud holes and trails haha. The worst thing that's happened is my fuel pump went out. whooo that's a BIG problem huh?
