What about an ecoboost out of an edge? The 2.0L may be an easier fit than the one from an f150. Possibly cheaper? Found one online for $2 grand. Not really sure of how to do the conversion just thought I'd throw out there for someone who might be thinking about doin it.

You might as well just turbo it yourself. You are gonna pay out the ass for ford stuff. Plus I've seen people turbo 2.3s no problem.

There are a lot of People who have used the 4tb cummins engine...
You can fun a few videos on YouTube. It's been done on both newer models and older models.
Those motors have TONS of torque and great gas milage and not to mention it sounds fucking amazing!

Which old 2.3? Theres the single overhead cam lima 2.3/2.5 one starting in 1974 and then stopped production in 2001 or the duratec 2.3 that started production in 2001?

If you had a good truck body and frame and $25,000 to spend to make it a good handling and braking machine with more than enough HP, could it be done? I would try it before buying a new truck.
