Shit, I would just get the 3.7 v6 w/ 300hp. I'd get 150more HP with the same mpgs, now thats badass.

The 4.6 DOHC, 5.0 DOHC and 5.4L SOHC all fit under powerdome hood of a Ranger I am sure with a little creativity you could stuff a 3.5L V6 turbo. The 3.7L almost seems like it would be easy.

don't forget that you need all of the wiring and computer. posibly the transmission and it's controls as well. good luck..

Yeah but it's gonna weigh less and better mpg's and I'm pretty sure you put more boost and get a few more hp before you have to build up the bottom end

Actually the ecoboost I4 2.0l gets 247hp with 265 torque. A generous step up of power and fuel economy. Personally I'd prefer it in the little focus ST though.

once focus st engine is out... would it fit in 2.3l ranger?

maybe if i save enough money i could buy that car and swap the whole engine and trans.

i want that st in my ranger...

Im talking the ecoboost I4 that isnt fitted for performance vehicles.The most common I4 ecoboost produces what i stated above.
