Sugar canes the way to go for ethanol, not to mention sugar based sodas are far better then corn syrup based.
A few other things researchers are looking at here is using the ~20 million pounds of rotten or otherwise unusable peaches from SC fields alone to produce ethanol for fuel. Another thing is switchgrass, not only is that abundant but per acre it produces around 1000 gallons, the same as sugar can, and over twice that of corn.
Oh and another point of this little project we got going on is to see if theres a way to make the H20 to hydrogen/browns gas work a little better, assuming the system we've made doesn't improve fuel consumption.
In reality a change in most peoples driving styles would probably yield a better improvement in fuel consumption then alot of these "scams" out there....which is why vacuum gauges are now being sold as "driving trainers" so you can see how good or bad your driving habits are.
