So I have a 94 ranger extended cab 2 wheel drive, 2.3, manual tranny. I am in need of another 5 spd tranny.
I have found one in a 90 single cab, 2 wheel drive, but it was a 6 cylinder truck. I do not know if this was a 4.0 or a 3.0, the engine has been removed, and the hood is gone.
Any chance of this working in my 94?
Any help with this would be appreciated.

The 3.0 and 4.0 wont match up to the 2.3 engine

check out junkyarddog.com i think that it thats were ive found my trannys......it searches junkyard around the country and ive bought some trannys for 200 bucks make sure they have warranty tho...learned that the hard way

U can also use car-part.com will search yards in your entire state and you can narrow down by distance
