Default Cummins

There is a youtube video of a guy with a 6 cylinder cummins in a 98 ranger. Does anyone have any information about this???

I can see if I can get a hold of him and ask him. I think he made his mounts though ....... I know it took ALOT of custom work

i know the frame can handle a stock 4bt. same output as a 302. Was just looking for something different to put into the truck other than the usual 302, turbo 2.3, yadda yadda

A 4BT swap in a Ranger is going to be a good bit of work. The only thing I know about the yellow 98 is that he has a 4BT and a lot of custom work. That black one has a 5.9 with even more work.

good thing about those old cummins is that all they need is 12 volts and fuel. Add a chevy turbo 400 and some plumbing. the hardest part is really the motor mounts and tranny crossmember. Drive shaft of course, but you just tow down to a shop. would have to swap in an 8.8", but that a bolt in from a 4x4 ranger or explorer.
