Default Head Swap 3.0 to 4.0 or 3.8

My truck has the 3.0 V6 in it. Lately I have been having some drivability issues and have managed to narrow the problem down to the injector on cylinder 5. That's neither here nor there. Working on this issue has gotten me to thinking, could I swap the injectors for the bigger motor onto this engine? Which led to, thinking about how else I could get more power out of the truck. I remembered the BOSS 302 Mustang and thought about maybe doing something similar with my Ranger. Does anyone know if the cylinder heads from either a 4.0 or a 3.8 would make a clean swap onto my 3.0 block?

the 3.0 is a vulcan block the 3.8 is an essex block and the 4.0 is a cologne block so no..you cant put any of the heads from them onto each other.. the only one you could do that on is 4.0 heads on a 2.9l block since they are both cologne blocks

And possibly 4.2 on a 3.8 since those are in the same family as well.
