Ah - what I meant is also installing a 4.0L engine and getting rid of the 2.9L
. It's been out of production for a long time, really not worth while to rebuild. Heads are not great and better heads are expensive. Poor oiling system. Aftermarket is slim and extremely costly. I built a 2.9L with a mid/high performance cam (I don't offroad, but nice to go street since I live in the middle of the city), ended up trading everything I had for my 2.9L for a spare 5L and AOD for my truck that I swapped in.
