Default Thinking about a 2.3 turbo swap

I have had my Ranger for 3 years and bought it really cheap. Great condition never had any problems and runs great. I was thinking about selling it to get another truck. I would like more power and looked into getting a turbo system. It seems that most people say swapping is the best thing.I wanted to find out why that is better and if it is worth the money?Or is there a way to get some real power out of my 2.5l.I am willing to spend some money to do this because I want to make sure I do all the right things and not half-ass this project. My goal is to get the most info and suggestions to help make my decision.I love my Ranger and hope I can turn it into a keeper. Just another guy looking for some more power!

It'll get you some more power. You might want to hop on some of the turbo forums to read up on the motors. If you're going to do the work of swapping the motor in, it'll be a good idea to build the motor a bit before you drop it in. Keep in mind how much the trans and rear end will hold when building it.

Telorvek and The Detail Zone make harness kits which are nice.
