I would like a cheap yet effective turbo or supercharger for a 2008 Ford Ranger. Where could I find one?

can't use in the same sentence. S/C will run you about $3,000 (more if you have a shop install it) and a turbo will cost at least $4,000 because of all the custom work that has be done. I do believe you can get the STS rear mount turbo kit for under $3,000 though....

I got the 4.0 V6. I already knew it would be around $3,000 I'm fine with that since my Ranger only has 11,xxx miles on it which means I'll have this Ranger for many more years. lol.

Ah well supercharged would be the easiest since there's a kit I believe turbo wise I'm not aware of any kits so can't help you there, all I cam say if you go turbo spend the money a get a nice name brand turbo or two, or use a factory turbo off another vehicle they are more reliable and last longer, eBay turbos yet cheap do work but dont last long depending on your driving I've seen them last anywhere from a year or more down to two months or less

RPScaster makes a 4.0 s/c kit with an eaton, i think theres one for sale on RPS, but its used, let me dig up a link

What about the whole M62 Eaton Supercharger? It's for a small truck 4.0.

would definitely say go with the S/C setup on the 4.0 just because there are kits available.
