If its leaking on the outside, radiator, heater core, hoses or gasket, you should see it, if not, suspect cracked heads.

On my '88 2.9L, I was seeing water n the ground under the rear of the engine.
Turned out to be a rusted through Freeze Plug in the Passenger Head.
Luckily Ford cover replacement of both heads, then I sold the motor and put in a 5.0L !
