Any one know where I can buy a larger Intercooler for my Ranger XLT mk2. Have looked over the internet but to no avail. Current size is 2 1/2 inches deep 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide with 2 1/2 inch pipe fittings directly to the top (not sides). Looking for a replacement same depth, height but 20 inches wide.

We dont have turbo charged ford rangers here in America.

I'll sell you a stock intercooler from a Mitsubishi Evolution IX you can modify to fit yours if you want. I took my stock one out right away when I upgraded to my 4.5" FMIC.

Had a look and Jap Imports do a few. But what is the difference between a 'Tube and Fin' and a 'Bar and Pipe' ?
Also do I need to find out what psi my engine is kicking out on the turbo circuit and make sure the replacement intercooler can take it ?

I'm gonna go with your truck isn't pushing 30psi+ so you should be good, I have a bar plate style on my truck and it works fine, you can see part of the intercooler in the pic

nice. thanks for the reply - mikesturbo94. 30psi - not much then. Most universal replacements are tested @ 80psi to 140psi and for 400bhp or more, somehow I do not think my ranger is going to exceed those specs.

They are 17x9 wheels the front tires are 235-40-17s

check out Mishimoto. they sell a range of universal intercoolers and they are the best that i've ever used.
